I've stayed at the 4U off and on for almost 10 yrs. Jim the owner, runs it with an iron fist which is how his biz should be run considering the area. It's not the classiest place in town but it's clean, safe and affordable.
It's getting me by since USAA left me homeless. No guests or pets or anything allowed - but that keeps the druggies away. Good sized fridge. Is very old and dated. It is clean and the cleaning people are friendly and do an excellent job. The owners are friendly I have seen them run off people though - they do mean business when they say no guests! Fortunately I haven't been on that end - the place has been very safe so far so I trust they know what they're doing. Internet varies between great and spotty.
The 4U has always been a reliable, clean, and cost-effective option for motel rooms. It's basic. Nothing flashy. But it's honey and COMFORTABLE! Management is terrific!
The reason why I gave the 4U five stars is the owners are very good people they do not put up with nonsense I like that. My little efficiency has always been neat and clean and if anything breaks down they fix it right away. And I've been here a while. If You're expecting The Ritz-Carlton then you better be looking somewhere else but it is neat and clean and 99% of time is quiet.
